Major League Soccer announced the 2017 home openers for all 22 clubs on Wednesday, with newcomers Minnesota United visiting the Portland Timbers in the opening match of the season on Friday, March 3.

CenturyLink Field has provided one of the best atmospheres in MLS since the Seattle Sounders came into the league in 2009. That ambiance has also featured when the US national team have played in Seattle, the most recent example being in 2013 when they played Panama in a World Cup qualifier.
