Orlando City Soccer Stadium

Orlando City could have a name for their new stadium as soon as this week, according to comments made by club CEO Alex Leitao to the Orlando Sentinel.

Almost there, Leitao told the Sentinel in an exclusive interview on Monday. We are confident that we are very close. Could be this week.

These kinds of things, until it’s done, there is no deal. We are in very advanced conversations and it’s the right partner, and I’ll be very happy if we are able to announce this as soon as possible.

Orlando City will open their new downtown stadium on March 5, when they’ll host New York City FC at the 25,500-capacity venue in their 2017 MLS opener. Orlando spent their first two years in MLS playing their home games at Camping World Stadium.
