With scoring down across Major League Soccer, it’s clear that goalkeepers and their defenses have been hard at work this spring. And Week 6 brought another bevy of worthy contenders for MLS Save of the Week honors.
Leading off this week is the man who’s been a fixture in this competition for nearly the entire season to date, Houston Dynamo shot stopper Tyler Deric. His latest nod comes from some sterling work in the Orange’s 3-0 win over Montreal.

Deric has worthy competition in LA Galaxy star Jaime Penedo, who stood on his head to nab LA a 1-0 win over Seattle on Sunday. Former Galaxy ‘keeper Donovan Ricketts, now with Orlando City, is also in the running thanks to a fine reaction save in the Lions’ 2-0 win over Portland.

Or check out the glovework by Nick Rimando, the architect of Real Salt Lake’s 0-0 road draw with Sporting KC. Then again, perhaps the alertness and technique shown by Luis Robles in New York’s 2-2 comeback draw with D.C. United is more your flavor.

Vote now for your top save! The winner will be announced on Friday.

Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursday. For complete coverage of the MLS Save of the Week – including an archive of all of this season’s nominees and winners – click here
